Research into Illegal Firearms in the UK commissioned by CfS as part of their platform to switch the spotlight from legitimate firearms owners and users to illegal guns and armed crime

King's College London Centre for Defence Studies
'Illegal Firearms in the United Kingdom' Report

There is a continuing debate as to whether the UK is being properly served by its current firearms legislation and the extent to which, in spite of some of the most stringent controls on private firearms anywhere in the World, there is a substantial increase in the number of crimes which involve the use of illegal firearms. Part of this debate focuses on the types of illegal firearms currently available within the UK and the patterns of their use.

Research commissioned by the Countryside Alliance's Campaign for Shooting on Criminal Use of Handguns - stimulates debate.

Research commissioned by the Campaign for Shooting, on the criminal use of handguns, undertaken by King's College London's Centre for Defence Studies, has stimulated a wealth of media interest.
