| Monday, 26 September 2005 | |
The updated version of the Hunting Handbook is required reading this season. It outlines how hunts throughout the country will build on their experience at the end of last season, ridiculing the Hunting Act and showing their determination to continue throughout what we are determined will be a temporary ban. Download a copy or order hard copies from the Alliance's online shop for a suggested donation of £2 per copy. You can also buy "Idiots guide to the Hunting Act" cartoon postcards (as pictured right) from the online shop for £2.50Alliance Chief Executive Simon Hart explains: “Hunts around the country will continue to go out within the law to show their defiance of the Hunting Act, and their determination to maintain the infrastructure of hunts and retain the cohesion of our local communities until this ‘temporary’ ban is repealed.
“Hunts are testing the Hunting Act and building on their experiences at the end of last season to establish ways forward within the law. The hunting community has resolved to work to remove this confusing and unworkable law from the statute book, and to replace it with sensible legislation to ensure that hunting is embraced by future generations and protected in the long term.” The handbook is available Click here to download it and is also now available from the Alliance's online shop for a suggested donation of £2. |
