“Our superficially unspoilt moorland areas are in reality under serious political and economic threat. Heather moorland is a delicate balance, both ecologically and economically, and by undue interference we risk destroying the landscapes and environments we value so highly” ![]() The Countryside Alliance’s moorlands campaign was set up in 2002, with the support of the Uplands Appeal, to defend our unique moorland areas by promoting understanding of the economic, social, landscape, and biodiversity benefits of managed grouse moorland. |
