Image The North Wilts Branch of the Alzheimer`s Society was presented with a cheque for £1035 by the Beaufort Hunt last Friday at the Meet at Mr and Mrs Geoff Barkers, Manor Farm, Sopworth. . Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Alzheimers Society was Peter Gosling.  The money was raised at the Beaufort`s Annual Charity Meet at Mr and Mrs Leslie Milsom`s Hundred Acre Farm, also in Sopworth.

The North Wilts Branch of the Alzheimers Society said they were delighted with the donation and  guarantee that all donations received are put straight back into the North Wiltshire community, supporting people with all forms of dementia and their carers.

A further cheque for £250 from the proceeds of the recently held and challenging Beaufort Hunt Ride will boost the much needed funds of  Sopworth Village Hall. This was presented on behalf of the farmers and landowners over whose land  the Ride took place.  The Beaufort Hunt over the last ten years have given an estimated £100,000 to charities both local and national.
