Fakenham Racecourse is staging its eleventh annual amateur riders charity race at the meeting on Friday 19th February 2010. For the past ten years this race has raised funds for and awareness of the countryside and country sports. For 2010 it will be slightly different because the race, and the race meeting, will be promoting The Armed Forces alongside the countryside, hence the re-branding of the day as ‘The Countryside and Forces Raceday’.

Come racing on Sunday 21st February at Badbury Rings, Nr Wimborne, Dorset and enjoy some great Jump racing, as well as many other attractions throughout the day.

Welsh winners in the 2009 Countryside Alliance Awards were declared at a reception at the Senedd in Cardiff on Wednesday 20th January 2010. Rural Affairs Minister, Elin Jones AM, presented the Welsh champions with their awards and other Assembly Members were on hand to congratulate the winners. The reception was opened by the Presiding Officer, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas, describing rural business as the "backbone" of Wales. Grand Military Gold Cup Day – Sandown Park, Surrey

The Grand Military Race Meeting is held each year at Sandown Park Racecourse in Surrey on the Friday before the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival. It has been held since 1841 and hosted at Sandown Park since 1881.

We have again reserved a Suite with a sensational panoramic view of the racecourse and paddock. A two course lunch, afternoon tea and tote facilities are all provided. There will be an auction after lunch to raise funds for countryside campaigns.
