Help for Heroes will benefit from the Countryside and Forces RacedayFakenham Racecourse is staging its eleventh annual amateur riders charity race at the meeting on Friday 19th February 2010. For the past ten years this race has raised funds for and awareness of the countryside and country sports. For 2010 it will be slightly different because the race, and the race meeting, will be promoting The Armed Forces alongside the countryside, hence the re-branding of the day as ‘The Countryside and Forces Raceday’.

Clarissa tells East of England councils: “Buy British food” Print E-mail

Image Television cook and countrywoman, Clarissa Dickson Wright, is leading a campaign urging public bodies to buy and serve more British produce. The Countryside Alliance has revealed through the Freedom of Information Act that 94% of public bodies in the East of England do not have a formal policy in place for sourcing and procuring UK-produced food.
