MP congratulates his retailers
David Maclean (on the left in the picture, taken at last year's Best Rural Retailer Reception), Member of Parliament for Penrith and the Border, has congratulated his shortlisted and winning Best Rural Retailers by putting down an Early Day Motion (EDM) in Parliament. An Early Day Motion is a way of MPs drawing attention to an issue of interest or concern, and in taking this step Mr Maclean has highlighted his support for his retailers (and the Best Rural Retailer competition) and his concerns for the future of the Post Office network.
