Thousands of nominations were whittled down to 140 regional finalists in November 2008 and the diversity of nominations made 2008 our best ever year. The addition of the Rural Enterprise category enabled us to honour a wider selection of businesses and to celebrate the entrepreneurial flair that rural people clearly possess.
